What is Strongility?

Strongility: (noun) /STRONG-JIL-I-TEE/ 1. A combination of the essential elements of strength, agility and mobility.  2. An attribute needed to overcome physical, mental, intellectual and emotional challenges.  3. A great way to have fun outside!

We live in a world where too many humans have become both physically and intellectually sedentary.

Our habitat should not be a couch!

Join me in breaking the vicious, self-perpetuating cycle of sloth and indolence. Together, we can defeat the doubts and vicissitudes that threaten to turn us into puling imbeciles.

Let’s get outside and exercise muscle and mind!

The purpose of this blog is to entertain, inform and incite. Action and activity both corporeal and intellectual will be ruthlessly advocated.

Excessive television watching, social-networking, and the formation of callouses as a result of video game playing will not be tolerated!

Expect well-written articles on such topics as:

  • Cultivation  of physical celerity
  • How to have fun in the forest
  • Workouts with minimal or no equipment
  • Maintaining health and mobility in middle and (gasp!) old age
  • How poetry can make you fitter
  • The value of connecting with the natural world

…and much more! I sincerely thank you for your interest and support; please check back regularly at Strongility.com and leave comments! OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

The activity to which you refer was carried out under the full supervision of the AETF (Association for the Ethical Treatment of Fireplugs). No hydrants were harmed during the making of this blog!
